Rental Information for the Secret Lair

What’s Included in the rental?

• TVs and Video Game Systems:

  • Two 85” Sony Bravia Smart TVs Connected to Nintendo Switches

    • Super Smash Brothers or Super Mario Wonder available to play. We provide the games, systems, and controllers for you, so leave your systems at home! Our on-site staff will set up systems for you at your request.

• Tables:

  • 2 Transformer Tables

    • Possible Dimensions

      • Console 18"L x 37.5"W x 30"H Seats 1

      • 1 Panel 38"L x 37.5"W x 30"H Seats 4

      • 2 Panels 58"L x 37.5"W x 30"H Seats 6

      • 3 Panels 78"L x 37.5"W x 30"H Seats 8

      • 4 Panels 98"L x 37.5"W x 30"H Seats 10

      • 5 Panels 118"L x 37.5"W x 30"H Seats 12

• Benches:

  • Using our two long benches allow for more compact seating & more guests at the table. As per above.

• Dining Chairs:

  • We have 8 extra plush, extra wide comfort dining chairs available. The width of the extra plush chairs limit card game setup and play to 8.

• Coffee Table:

  • One Coffee Table 43” x 23.5” x 14”

• Lounge Seating:

  • Lounge Seating for 4

    • Modular furniture that can be setup as two club chairs and a love seat, or four separate club chairs.

All other items (catering, dishes, linens, equipment, decorations, bar service, music) are the responsibility of the renter. Secret Lair staff are available on-site during event, as a building monitor only, unless otherwise stated.

Rules and Other Considerations

• Alcohol

  • If you are serving alcohol at your event, we require a liquor licence. Typically we can get a licence within 3 weeks of your event for an additional fee. We will secure the licence for you to ensure the event is properly licensed.

    • Activity Fee

      • Special Occasion Liquor Licence (class 1) 15.00

      • Special Occasion Liquor Licence (class 2) 30.00

• Cancellations

  • Cancelling events require 1 weeks’ notice to receive the full deposit refund.

• Music and Sound Levels

  • To be kind to the Secret Lair’s neighbours, we ask that music and gaming volume be kept below noise complaint level.

• Smoking

  • The Secret Lair is a non-smoking non-vaping facility.

• Deposit

  • $100 Applicable to your rental fee.

• Kids Parties Notice

  • Please email rachel.thedeckbox@gmail.com with final player numbers at least 1 week before party.

• Damage

  • Obligation of the renter - The renter is responsible for the repair of damage caused by wilful or negligent act of the renter or of any person whom the renter permits on the premises.

Facility access beginning at 12pm until 10pm.
